That lightning of thoughts....

Another poem that I have composed. This one was inspired by the earlier one, namely 'A different world'. Want to read it? Click on this link - A different world

 Here goes....

THAT LIGHTNING OF THOUGHTS

It felt as if a lightning of marvelous, wonderful thoughts had struck me

Yes, a lightning that didn't reduce me to ashes, but sparked a fire, deep within.

A raging fire, deep within.

A fire that would never stop,

A fire that would last a lifetime and till a clock's last chime

Awakening a Phoenix, soaring into the sky

Gliding freely, but without saying a goodbye....

Knowing that it would come back again

As fast as that lightning and as fast as the rain.

Swara Chandorkar

This poem is definitely not written to inspire people but is merely my randomly poetic thoughts in a written form. Basically, while I was thinking about this, I was considering logic but also my feelings from that moment when I had thought of the earlier poem.

Everyone knows that once struck by lightning, the object catches fire and is eventually reduced to ashes. Here, the lightning was merely a figure of speech. But logically, that lightning is supposed to have some kind of reaction on me. And the reaction was a fire sparking inside me. Again, a figure of speech. It meant that the fire was my spirit, my soul and my bullet like thoughts from that moment when the lightning had struck.

It is common knowledge that Phoenixes are born from the ashes, the fire. And this fire also awakened one. Why did the Phoenix not say a goodbye? It knew it would come back again, soaring in, gliding in, deep into the heart of the fire, ready to watch it burn stronger than ever, as the lightning struck again. Lightning obviously comes with rain, but this rain would not be able to extinguish the fire.

If you've actually read this till here, just keep in mind that you've made me feel way too happy. Don't forget that.
