A different world

A small poem that I have composed....

A DIFFERENT WORLD

It's this silly little idea that I had,

Where bad was good and good was bad

What would you do if it happened to you?

Feel like you're home or

Live under a hood?

What if no one cared about your mood

If good was bad and bad was good

The evil would prance, saying they got their chance

The good would hide and get lost under the tide

In a world where bad is good and good is bad,

Would you like to go back to the life that you once had?

When I first shared it, a few people wondered whether I was alright, for they thought it was a fair bit unusual to suddenly think all of this. And FYI, I'm completely fine. Do you want me to be brutally honest about how I thought of this? I think not. (I love suspense, especially when I am creating it)

two worlds. created by meta ai.

So basically, (why do I use the term 'so basically' so often??) I was letting my mind get distracted and randomly thought of this. Don't ask me how, because I don't know! Anyways, I wondered what would happen if I did something good and people called it bad? I said this random stuff inside my brain with a British accent. Let me tell you one thing, that accent is the foundation of all the random poetic thoughts I have. I feel absolutely marvelous while speaking British English and in a British accent and that makes me get a little carried away, making me say such stuff aloud and widen my eyes and just scribble the poetic thoughts on a page. Wow that was a long sentence.

Back to the point, before I get distracted. Again. The stuff in this poem, it actually tends to happen in our life. We do something with all of our heart, something good, something wonderful, only to have everyone laugh at it or shove it aside. And that's sad. EVERYONE has been a part of the situation when a boy or a girl does something that's not good, but everyone applauds for them. Attention seeking as a matter of fact. The naughtiest and 'worst' students are who they are because they were supported by the others, say our teachers.

In the question where I've asked whether you'd feel like you're home or live under a hood, I am asking you to reveal whether your one of the good or one of the bad. If you're one of the bad, you'll obviously feel like you're home for you would be in a place where your not so wonderful talents are appreciated by the people, because in this world, bad is considered good. If you say that you'll live under a hood, it means you'd isolate yourself, hide yourself and try not to be seen. This will be because the good that you're doing is not appreciated and is considered bad.

Funnily, our world is a little like this imaginary world of mine. Many a times, the good and kind-hearted are ignored and pushed away. People want a little drama in their lives, yes, but not the way you'd expect it to go. So many people appreciate the evil. The evil in our world refuse to hide, but the good in the other world simply don't.

And the evil would obviously prance, for they are finally being recognized for who they are. And since the good are hiding, they'll eventually be forgotten and just get lost somewhere in the tide of the evil and maybe even get sucked into the ocean of loneliness.

And the last question. Here, the choice is yours, say yes, meaning you do wish your evil to be recognized. Say no, meaning you want the public to know that your goodness is good and there is no whatsoever harm hiding in it.

Also, one more thing. I always wonder who has set the definitions of good and bad. What makes our mind jump to the conclusions that it is good when we see a girl helping an elderly woman, and it is bad when we see a person rob a bank. I'm not saying that we should change the definitions, no, not at all. But just wondering, who set them?? This tiny little thought of mine was slightly expanded by a quote by William Shakespeare, Act 2, Scene 2, Hamlet.

There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

Very thought-provoking.

Just sayin', I have written all this with my heart, and I am being completely honest here, I have not used any artificial intelligence. Not bragging but simply making myself clear because someone asked whether I actually write all this by myself or ask AI.

Thank you so, so much for reading till here!!!! If you want to have a look at another set of poetic thoughts triggered by these, click here - That lightning of thoughts....
