Go with the flow...?

Hello! And welcome to another post in the Thoughts blog! I love this font.
I was struck with that now familiar flood of thoughts... I have this funny little habit of randomly making up songs, with a lot of meaning and lovely tunes. I was just humming one earlier yesterday. I won't write every single bit of that song, but the part that I found most interesting and slightly thought-provoking.

Am I a Fly, to always fly according to the wind's wishes?
Or should I try to break myself apart from that flow and try to do something of my own?
Should I be quick yet timid, or quick yet fearless?
Do I have to go with that flow?

It may not rhyme at all, and is nothing but questions, but I found it to be interesting as soon as those words left my mouth. Do all flies fly with the flow of the wind? Do they try something new? They are quick and timid, always ready to fly away, the moment anything closes upon them.  I do wish to be quick, yes, but also fearless. And that last line, is something that everyone thinks about at a point in their life.

"Go with the flow" is a very commonly heard idiom. But what does it mean? I searched it up and according to the Cambridge Dictionary, this idiom means: to do what other people are doing or to agree with other people because it is the easiest thing to do

 Intriguing. Does it have to be like that? Yes, at times we don't have any option but to do what other people do, for example while dancing or grouped activities or even performances. But that kind of going with the flow is a part of teamwork. The other way is to try to blend in, to try to be a part of that team.

Cambridge Dictionary also said so: Add to word list
to do what other people are doing or agree with the opinions of others:
When you’re new in a school, it’s easiest to just go with the flow for a while, and see what people are like.
The colors of personality, hidden away in a cage

And that's completely alright, is it not? SURE, we all try to blend in for a good first impression and then slowly start to show our true colors. But there exist a few people whose true colors remain caged and are hardly ever let out! That cage sits somewhere home, and only family and extremely close people can let out those colors.
Hmmmmm and that's basically it for now. Another bottle of thoughts emptied into the pensieve! {if you understood that, do comment!}
Thanks for reading till here!!!!
